Our older UK-based grandson (in juniors now) has just done a post-school class called young engineers. His last task was to make a nesting box, which we took home when we collected hime from school the week before last. Now all his Mum and Dad have to do is find somewhere to put it up.
We’ll gently remind them of that next week, the next time it’s our turn to collect him from school!
Well done, Eddie, for reminding all of us to clean out our nesting boxes.
Thanks for the nest box clean reminder Eddie – not late but well timed. Looking forward to the new season of nest building. The bird song is on the up and as the dawn breaks I enjoy lying in bed listening to the individual birds starting to sing. Thanks to your Dad’s marvellous books I can even identify the different singers.
Well done my robin nested next door
Thank you. I didn’t know you had to clean out nesting boxes every year. Maybe that’s why a robin decided to nest in our shed instead.
Great stuff as always Eddie – thank you, Robin (!)

Thankyou Eddie, such good advice
The birds have a good friend in you, Eddie!
Each one is a different little character, but they ALL like to have a family – and friends.
