Dear Eddie. Love the picture of the swallow in today’s blog and the restful hammock. I watched a male blackbird yesterday trying to peck at some food but the house sparrows chased him off – tiny birds against a big one amused me a lot.
Keep the blog going it is great. I live in Scotland. Denise.

Hi Eddie Have really enjoyed your blog and hope you will keep it going.I thought my kestrel season was finished as all the broobs which I was monitoring are flying now. Then while making my last check I found a very late pair on 4 eggs so there is a lot left in the season yet.I particularly enjoyed the swallow picture.Well done.

    Best wishes
    Gordon

Great blog Eddie. Don’t stop now. How about a weekly Wildblog over the summer so that we can all share the wildlife you’re seeing in your holidays?

Great blog, glad you thought to leave the barn because the swallows were anxious. We had a huge rainstorm and two swallow sheltered in our barn until it stopped but they never nest there. you are lucky yo see them so close to. Have a great summer holiday, the hammock looks the best place to be!

Eddie I love your blog! I can picture all the places you mention in the blog. I hope I get back over to see you again this year. My friend told me he had wrens nest and fledge in his garden. He said the baby wrens were like chestnuts flying round the garden because they were so small!!

Hi Eddie, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your blogs during June. The shared enjoyment of your wild world encounters have been a real pleasure to read, and a great reminder to us all of the joy we can all experience, often just outside our own backdoor. Don’t leave it till next June to write again.
